Supervision Officer : Etain McNulty

Etain McNulty

My role within the UKHC is to ensure that all members regularly attend supervision and meet their membership requirements. I support hypnotherapists wishing to become supervisors and those who want to set up peer support groups in their area. Whilst supervision is a requirement, engaging in supervision can really help you to feel supported personally and professionally within your practice. Being a hypnotherapist can be quite a solitary existence and the camaraderie of a regular peer support group can be a wonderful addition to your working life. When we stay up to date with the latest research and use it to inform our practice, as well as attending regular supervision, everyone benefits – our clients, ourselves and the hypnotherapy profession as a whole.

I currently live in Belfast, Northern Ireland where I have a full-time Clinical Hypnotherapy practice. Having qualified with Adam Eason, I have gone on to develop a particular interest in using hypnotherapy to work with various types of anxiety issues.
My background includes a BA Honours Degree in Philosophy and Politics, a Masters Degree in International Politics, and then many years working in Management Accountancy.
I thoroughly enjoy my work as a hypnotherapist and am delighted to bring my experience to the UKHC.
