The UK Hypnotherapy Council offers three levels of membership – Full, Student & Associate

Full Membership

Full membership of the UKHC is open to all Hypnotherapists holding the Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma or a diploma from a UKHC approved Hypnotherapy school or college.

Full membership includes:

  • Online Access to the International Journal Of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis (IJCEH)
  • Listing on the UKHC online Therapist Register
  • Resources to support your professional development & business
  • The use of the UKHC name, logo and the letters of your membership level
  • Resources to support your professional development & business
  • Access to advice on ethical issues
  • Priority booking to future UKHC events and preferential member rates
  • (UKHC are committed to continually add to our members benefits)

Full Membership Requirements

Qualifications

The UKHC require those applying for Full Membership to provide evidence of their qualifications. You will be asked to send copies or email scans of your qualification These qualifications can include:

  • Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD)
  • Diploma from PHN approved Hypnotherapy school or college. (DHyp)

Insurance

You are required to hold full, up to date Professional Liability Insurance. The UKHC will require you to provide proof of this.

Membership Fees

Full membership is £60 per year

In some circumstances membership can be offered to those holding Hypnotherapy qualifications other than those listed above.

Student Membership

Student membership of the UKHC is available to students currently enrolled in an accredited hypnotherapy training course. If your school is not currently accredited by the UKHC, please contact the UKHC Education Officer, if your school is eligible an invitation to become accredited will be sent.

UKHC will requite proof of study. Student membership includes:

  • Online Access to the International Journal Of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis (IJCEH)
  • Access to Members area of UKHC website
  • Resources to support your professional development & business
  • Priority booking to future UKHC events and preferential member rates

Student members are not entitled to use the UKHC name, logo or accredited grade letters or be entitled to a directory listing.

All Student Members must:

  • Provide name of Hypnotherapy School, the course they are studying and proof of enrolment
  • Student membership is limited to 18 months. Upon qualification Student Membership must upgrade to Full Membership.

Student Membership Fees

Student membership £35 per year.

On qualification, you will need to apply for full membership at an annual fee of £60.

Associate Membership

Associate Membership is offered to:

Those who may not be practising Hypnotherapists but who have an interest in hypnosis and hypnotherapy.

Associate Members Benefits

  • Resources to support your personal & professional development & business
  • Priority booking to future UKHC events
  • and preferential member rates

You are entitled to the benefits of Full Members, however you are not entitled to use the UKHC name, logo or accredited grade letters or be entitled to a directory listing

Associate membership may be transferred to full membership on production of relevant qualifications and insurance.
